The International Center of Photography is now in possession of something truly magnificent -- three lost valises of negatives belonging to wartime photographer Robert Capa. For the few of you who haven't heard of him, Robert Capa was a wartime photographer who died while on assignment in Indochina in 1954; he was only 41 years old. In his short life, he documented five wars and founded the famous Magnum photo agency.

MUSIC: The Stone has been bringing out the big names lately. Tonight Marc Ribot brings his solo act to the 8pm set, then follows himself up by delivering his experimental sounds with none other than Laurie Anderson. Avant-garde all the way.

Today marks the first day of National Museum Month. This means, amongst other things, that it's the first day of Bank of America's Museums on Us! program. This program allows free access to 56 cultural institutions (19 in New York) - and to this day stands as the only nice thing that BOA has ever done for us cardholders.

For far more time than we'd like to admit, we spent our days commuting to and from the stressful center of neon lights and fanny packs that is Times Square. During this period, we were always immensely grateful for the existence of the International Center of Photography, which always provided us with a blissful lunch hour retreat, whether from the stress of the teeming masses outside or just from excel projects gone maddeningly awry.
