Two Boys Shot In Brooklyn Crossfire

Last night around 8 p.m., two young boys suffered bullet wounds when they entered gun cross fire in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. According to WABC 7, "10-year-old Tyrese Bollers and 12-year-old Quan Cross... were playing near the intersection of Legion Street near Sutter Avenue just after 8 p.m. Monday when shots rang out. The boys were riding a motorized dirt bike and apparently rode right into the line of fire." Police say the boys were not targeted and were innocent bystanders. Bollers was hit twice in the leg while Cross was hit in the wrist; they are in stable condition at a hospital. more ›

Getting Shot at the Bus Stop

Someone went on a rampage just before noon yesterday, shooting five people standing at a bus stop in a fusillade of gunfire in Jackson Heights, Queens. It wasn't as much a rampage, exactly, as a reckless attempt to kill a single person by firing into a crowd. The alleged target was a 21-year-old man, who was shot in the side before staggering into a restaurant and collapsing. Police are searching not just for a single shooter, but a group of men he was with that ran off in different directions. more ›
