When it comes to cheating spouses in the United States, New York City doesn't even rank in the top ten (at least according to terrible website Ashley Madison). But that doesn't mean we don't have cheaters. Top hoods to find cuckolds in the city? As we learned from The Squid and the Whale, that would be Park Slope. But if you go beyond the five boroughs, the most cheaters are in Great Neck.

Couple Sues Marriage Counselor Who Endorsed Cheating
Couple Guido Venitucci and Heather Aldridge are seeking $8 million in damages in a lawsuit against Upper West Side marriage counselor Jeffrey Mechanic. Venitucci said Mechanic called him a "pussy" and said his wife was incapable of satisfying him during their weekly, $300 sessions. Then, when Venitucci "caved in and had an affair...[Mechanic] said there was nothing wrong with that." The couple says Mechanic's advice left them closer to divorce, and apparently they're not the only ones.
Spotted! Gov. Paterson Nuzzling "Leggy Latina"
Gov. Paterson was seen nuzzling and kissing a young woman yesterday afternoon. The kicker? He and the woman, described as a “leggy Latina,” were seated at a New Jersey steakhouse frequently patronized by disgraced former-governor Eliot Spitzer. "He was laying up against her . . . they were up against each other in every intimate way,” said Sharon Farrell, a lawyer who spotted the pair at the River Palm Terrace in Edgewater. After the near-scandals of this past week, what could the married governor possibly have to say for himself?
New Site Like JDate for Those Already Joined in Marriage
There is a new site for local Orthodox Jews to go to in order to find a potential partner within the faith; the catch about this one though is that it's designed for those who have already committed elsewhere through marriage. The Post reports on the recently launched site Shaindy, named after its creator's first mistress. The Midwood founder says that he got the idea "from Hasids he met in chat rooms seeking adulterous action." He would also only give his name as "Jerry," due to fear of "rabbidinical retribution." The one rabbi the paper did talk to, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, author of "Kosher Adultery: Seduce and Sin with Your Spouse," simply said, "Adultery is going to do nothing to your marriage except destroy it." Jerry says that in its first week, already 350 members have signed up for the site, despite any naysaying from Jewish officials. He says, "Of course they are ALREADY putting pressure on this site. But this site is only intended for adults who can think for themselves and make their own judgments."
Paterson's Turn in the Soap Opera-ish Spotlight
Governor David Paterson hoped his and his wife's admission that they had extramarital affairs meant that everyone could move on. Other politicians certainly want to move on and constituents generally don't think it's a big deal (Hookergate fatigue?), but now that the tabloids have license to run with it, it means details (and long cover headlines) galore!
