A woman was killed when she was brutally mowed down in Fort Lee, NJ last night, and witnesses say the driver ran over her multiple times. Police found a car with NY plates abandoned a mile from the scene. One of the good Samaritans who tried to help the woman told WCBS 2, "I tried to open the [driver's] door and the door was locked. He deliberately killed that woman I think."

Prospect Heights Hit-and-Run Driver Turns Herself In
The woman who struck two women—leaving one with brain injuries—last month in a Brooklyn hit-and-run finally turned herself in. Frances Jasmin surrendered at the 77th Precinct and was arrested and charged with "leaving the scene of the accident which resulted in serious injury."
Second Fatal Hit and Run in 24 Hours Leaves Teen Dead
Less than 24 hours after a woman in Dyker Heights was killed by a hit-and-run driver, a 17-year-old boy in the Bronx has suffered the same fate. Police responded to a 911 call just after 1 a.m. this morning at White Plains Road and Seward Avenue; when they arrived they found the victim and a totaled 1996 green Honda Accord. The vehicle, which had been reported stolen, was abandoned by the driver, who fled on foot. No description of the driver has been released yet, and the unidentified boy, who had been walking along White Plains Road, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two Brooklyn Car Accidents Leave Two Dead
Sun Won Cho, a 40-year-old mother of two, was killed in a church parking lot in Gravesend yesterday afternoon when an elderly man accidentally accelerated his black Mercedes SUV in reverse. Four other people, including two children, were injured after the SUV suddenly car accelerated toward the group as they gathered near a playground. The driver, 72-year-old Kyongkoo Park, remained at the scene and was not charged. Witnesses described the tragic scene.
Hit & Run Car Owner Again Says Sister Was Behind Wheel
The woman whose Acura Legend was involved in a Brooklyn hit-and-run that injured two women—one seriously—spoke at a press conference yesterday, emphatically stating that she was not the driver. Cindy Jasmin said, "I am the owner of the vehicle involved in the accident. My sister was the driver of the car involved in the accident."
Police Search For Hit-And-Run Suspect
Police are looking for the owner of an Acura Legend and suspect she may have struck two women in a Prospect Heights hit-and-run early Sunday morning . Alma Guererro, 23, was left with a broken collarbone while Erinn Phelan (pictured), 22, is "clinging to life" with severe injuries.
Two Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Prospect Heights
Around 4:30 a.m. this morning, two pedestrians were struck by a hit-and-run driver at Flatbush Avenue and Prospect Place in Brooklyn. According to WCBS 2, the victims were two women in their 20s, "When rescuers arrived at the scene, one woman was unconscious, the other was lucid."
More On Driver Who Chased Hit-And-Run Suspect
The tow truck driver who witnessed a driver hit a pedestrian and then drive away on Monday night continued to tell his story about embarking on a high-speed chase to nab the suspect. According to the Daily News, Peter Dinome pursued the driver "for nearly 8 miles through the Bronx, desperately weaving in and out of traffic as he tried to catch the suspect." Dinome admitted, "At times I was going 120, 130, I was moving," and also told the News that suspect Michael "Fennell drove the wrong direction down several one-way streets while trying to lose him." Dinome said of his actions, "I couldn't let someone die right before my eyes and let him get away. I'm not a hero - I just did a thing that I thought was right," and claims a cop offered to pay for his upcoming speeding ticket (since he was caught on a red-light camera), "All the cops were patting me on the back." Fennell was charged with leaving the scene of an accident; the victim, Braulio Lopez-Cruz, is in serious but stable condition at Jacobi Hospital.
