Charlie Sheen's dud of a torpedo is still fizzling into the city's papers. Today the Daily News reports that a heckler at the Atlantic City show on Saturday night shamed the MaSheen into giving him a refund. While watching the fallen actor incoherently grasp for the audience's attention, Zach Edelman heckled him from 20 rows back (after being denied a refund at the box office). Sheen eventually beckoned him to the stage, handed him a $100 bill, and said, "There's your fucking refund. Now you can get the f--- out of here." more ›

At a Democratic fundraiser at the Roosevelt Hotel last night, demonstrators disrupted President Obama's speech to demand more AIDS funding. Holding signs and shouting "Broken Promises Kill," the activists blasted Obama for, in their words, "failure to make a concrete commitment of US funding to the Global Fund on AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria... and called on him to contribute $6 billion over 3 years to the Global Fund." Video: Will Curling Iron in Butt Save Dems in MA Senate Race?

It's desperate, it's risky, and it's an eleventh hour guilt-by-association Hail Mary, but panicked Democrats are hoping that a video showing an off-color remark at a political rally yesterday will derail a looming Republican Senate win in Massachusetts. Yesterday some yahoo at a rally for Republican Scott Brown yelled, "Shove a curling iron up her butt!" The comment was a reference to Brown's opponent, Attorney General Martha Coakley, who was criticized for not aggressively pursuing a child rape case in 2005. In the video below, Brown does not say anything in response to the remark, but he appears to smile in response! It's not quite a Macaca moment, but for Democrats, it'll have to do. more ›
