The Algonquin Hotel, most recently known for its Cat Fashion Shows, is more famously known for its round table. And with Halloween creeping up, psychic medium A.J. Barrera stopped by the historic spot to see if Dorothy Parker & Co. are haunting the place. In the below video, he confirms that there are spirits roaming the halls, noting, "just walking in here the energy was just very intense, my heart was going a mile a minute." He also says he felt the "cold spot," which usually means there's something there, but only "a full lockdown investigation" would be able to show who exactly is haunting the hotel.

Histories Mysteries! Is This Place Haunted?
Haunted houses aren't just for Halloween, especially in New York City—the most haunted city of all! (Allegedly.) Today EV Grieve has been trying to figure out if this old boarded up house at 222 East 13th Street is really haunted, and until Scooby Doo and the gang arrive in the Mystery Machine, it's been left up to commenters. Eventually this old NY Times article was discovered:
Dylan Thomas Is Baaaaack!
Another one to file under: "Just in time for Halloween." The Chelsea Hotel bloggers received a desperate cry for answers after a tourist spent three nights at the hotel, only to be menaced on her final evening by the ghost of Dylan Thomas! She was with her boyfriend, but he slept soundly through the sighting. She reports back from Room 114:
Haunted House For Sale, Smells Like Onions
Yesterday there was a pink house for sale in Brooklyn that made headlines, and today there's a haunted house for sale in the West Village! Just in time for trick or treating, the Daily News reports on "the historic Gay St. property, on the corner of Waverly Place... rumored to be inhabited by a restless spirit who walks the creaking floorboards at night." Some believe the ghost to be that of former Mayor Jimmy Walker, who once owned the home.
State Capitol Plays Up Haunted, Tormented Image
When we heard the State's Office of General Services is offering "Capitol Hauntings" tours of the Capitol Building in Albany, we were hoping it would involve a room where the bodies were buried after the State Senate coup or maybe an echo chamber with Spitzer saying he's a "fucking steamroller." But, alas, it just involves things like "the legend of the 'Secret Demon' near the Great Western Staircase" and "which two Presidents of the United States are said to have visited the State Capitol after they died."
