Video: Tiny Woman Demonstrates The Proper Way To Steal Beer

Gothamist does not condone shoplifting, but we can't help but be impressed by this video, in which a tiny woman uses the mystical power of a long skirt to hide a 24-pack of Guinness. What's truly magnificent is the way she continues to move fluidly, seemingly unencumbered by the huge, hops-filled weights (Pat Kiernan estimates the beer weighs at least 20 pounds). Way to go, Team NYC! Check out some video below—the chaos ensues around the 1 minute mark. more ›

It's St. Patrick's Day Parade Time

It's set to be a gorgeous day for a parade (a high of 64 degrees is expected), so we're guessing that today's St. Patrick's Day Parade will be especially well-attended. But, remember, the NYPD is cracking down on alcohol consumption and public intoxication—no hijinks because Police Commissioner Ray Kelly is Grand Marshal this year! more ›

(The previous record was 62, set in Toronto in 2006.) The title was reclaimed by the U.S.A. today at 10:00 a.m. EST inside Madame Tussauds’ in Times Square, where the wax figure of Michael Jackson gazed proudly down upon dancing zombies who traveled from as far away as Ohio. more ›
