As our friend Dan points out, this is a good counterpoint to the "OH MY GOD THE SIDEKICK IS INSECURE EVERYTHING IS BACKED UP ON THE WEB SERVER" freak-out after Paris Hilton's Sidekick was hacked. And let this be a lesson to you: Make sure you have your belongings with you when you leave your cab. And that your info is synced up. Or something.

There was a segment on the Today Show yesterday morning that reminded us of something many of us will have to deal with at some point in our lives: hiring movers. The Today Show segment (sorry, there doesn't seem to be a corresponding article on their website) detailed the perils of choosing the wrong moving company; companies hang on to people's furniture if they don't pay, or just drive off with a truck full of all of their worldly possessions. There was an interview with one woman who was given an estimate and then, when the actual cost far exceeded the initial estimate, she couldn't pay and the moving company confiscated her things. She had to sue to get them back.

The collective eyes of the football world will be on Portugal for the next three weeks as EURO 2004 is set to kick off tomorrow. And we mean football in the international sense, i.e. round ball, played on a pitch, nets in the goals, etc.

The Voice has an essay about moving today that reminds us that moving in New York City is a unique challenge. If only it was as easy for most of us as calling in some movers and going out for coffee.
