For the first time since Gallup started asking Americans about it in 1969 more people think weed should be legal than don't. That sound you hear? That's millions of Americans coughing their support. According to a Gallup poll released today 50 percent of Americans now support legalization, up from 46 percent last year. Not a bad increase for the "most commonly abused illicit drug" in the country!

Americans Care About Global Warming Even Less Than Before
According to a new Gallup poll, fewer Americans see global warming as a threat than they did just a few years ago. In 2010 53 percent of Americans said it was a "very" or "somewhat" serious threat, while in 2008 63 percent of Americans said so. Well, it has been a brutal winter. Maybe global warming finally went away!
Rich, Educated Americans Like to Drink More
According to a new Gallup poll, the number of Americans who drink alcohol is at its highest point since 1985. But of those 67% who say they enjoy boozing it up a bit, a majority are college graduates and/or make over $75K a year. So, using statistics to our advantage, this must mean that drinking more will make you smart and rich! This calls for a toast!
In "Well-Being" Study, New York Ranks Dead Middle
In a new Gallup poll that rates states in terms of population well-being, New York lands pretty much dead center. But that's a 0.3 "point" raise from last year, so nice work everybody. New York got a 65 on the "Well-Being Index Score," which calculates evaluations of citizen's lives from across the country. Factors include emotional and physical health, work environment, and access to basic things like food and water.
Oh Snap! Hillary More Popular Than Obama
Even though Obama whupped Hillary in the primaries last year, a Gallup Poll conducted from Oct. 1-4 shows that our Secretary of State is currently more popular than our peace-loving President, with a 62% approval rating over his 56%. Though Hillary's numbers have not changed much since January, Obama's popularity has been on a steady decline. And now we wait for Tracy Morgan's opinion.
