  • Bulls 101, Knicks 96: All those in attendance at Chicago's United Center got Big Macs, so at least the Knicks are making some fans happy. Just not their own. Zach Randolph -- acquired by Isiah Thomas, give the guy credit -- had 27 points and 15 rebounds. Unfortunately for the Knicks, Fred Jones put up the second-best line with 22. The rest of the team went 21-for-53 from the floor. They'll take on the Nets at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
  • The Mardy Collins era lasted approximately six minutes. Pushed into the starting lineup in place of Stephon Marbury, Collins sprained his foot halfway through the first quarter. And, Collins’ injury was just the beginning as Phoenix trounced the Knicks 113-102 while shooting 56% from the field.     There are two sides to Isiah Thomas. There is the GM who drafts diligently building a team from the ground up, or Dr. Jekyll. And then there is the GM who recklessly trades players simply to trade them while acquiring bigger salaries and losing draft picks, or Mr. Hyde. Both sides were on display Thursday night as Isiah radically overhauled the Knicks and may have finally come up with a trade that made them better.

    Without Vince Carter, the Nets become a beatable team, even at home. They made that transition Sunday in a 101-91 loss to Indiana. Carter left the game in the first quarter with an apparent hamstring injury, and the Nets could not rebound. Even with Jacque Vaughn's 12-point, 30-minute performance, New Jersey struggled to contain Indiana's outside shooters. Fred Jones and Peja Stojakovic each scorched the Nets with 22 apiece from outside.
