Lindsey Buckingham is best known as the singer/guitarist of Fleetwood Mac, steering the band through the highs of the era-defining soft pop of "Rumours" and its more experimental, weirder sister album "Tusk" in the late '70s. Buckingham has also had a varied solo career, providing the theme "Holiday Road" to "National Lampoon's Vacation," and recording this year's "Seeds We Sow" entirely on his own. This Friday, Buckingham will speak at the 92nd Street Y about his long career—we spoke to him about his friendship with Brian Wilson, the legacy of Tusk, tinkering in the studio, his kids perception of him, and Fleetwood Mac's plans for next year.

Save Me A Place: Tickets Available For Lindsey Buckingham At 92Y
Our fingers are still tingling with anticipation over the news that our favorite late-'70s world conquering pop band Fleetwood Mac may very well probably be touring next year. But while we appreciate Stevie Nicks as much as the next crystal vision lover, we've always been bigger fans of the hugely under-appreciated guitarist/singer Lindsey Buckingham—which is why we're also excited about the fact that Buckingham will be coming back to the city solo later in the fall!
Video: Stevie Nicks Did Some Singing And Storytelling In NY Last Night
After unfortunate incidents involving a stolen iPod and crashed music library, much of 2010/2011 became an experiment in listening only to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours—it was all that was left, living safely on our iPhone. Combine that with being raised on a heavy dose of Fleetwood Mac, and the news of a possible tour next year is very exciting to us... but in the meantime, a Nicks fix will do.
Best News Ever: Fleetwood Mac Will (Probably!) Tour Next Year
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Lindsey Buckingham declared that next year, Fleetwood Mac will be "doing something for sure. I wouldn't be shocked if it was a tour and possibly an album. We'll have to wait and see. Nothing is on the books right now. With Fleetwood Mac, there's a lot of landmines out there politically and it's hard to get everybody on the same page at the same time—but I think this might be one of those years where everyone will want to do the same thing. Whatever that is." YES, as long as it's not collaborating with Bret Michaels.
Stevie Nicks Is Sick, Cancels New York Performances
As her new album, In Your Dreams, hits stores (with pretty great reviews), Stevie Nicks has canceled a number of appearances in New York this week after coming down with pneumonia and the flu. Nicks was scheduled to perform on the Today Show and Good Day NY today, and also had a much-anticipated concert at Webster Hall tomorrow night. The 62-year-old is following doctor's orders, however, putting a stop to all travel and staying in bed.
Glee Rumours: Cast To Cover Entire Fleetwood Mac Album
Last night LA's PaleyFest was all about Glee, and rumor has it the show will dedicate a full episode to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. According to Deadline, "the show’s creators had long wanted to do an episode devoted to an album as opposed to an artist." Anytime someone pays homage to this album, it's reason to celebrate—so it's lucky for the show's creators that this news softens the blow of their other announcement: Gwyneth Paltrow will return to the show for at least one more episode.
Peter Bjorn & John, Band
Swedish rockers Peter Bjorn & John have won over the world with their brand of catchy indie pop. Last time they were in town their album wasn't even released yet and they sold out three shows. This time they've got two consecutive shows at Webster Hall (May 1st and 2nd)...and hopefully you got your tickets, as they are both (suprise, surprise) sold out already. This week Peter took some time to answer some questions for us...

The Today Show has announced some of the performers of its Summer Concert Series, which stretches into the fall. By the looks of it, many more names will be announced later on. The Today Show also does "One Hit Wonders" type themes on some days.
