Yesterday, police scoured Soho for clues after a 19-year-old was sexually assaulted in her apartment building on Prince Street near Sullivan. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly confirmed the victim was followed home from the subway station by the attacker:

"She was followed by an individual who asked her for a cigarette. She did give him a cigarette. She went into her residence; he followed her upstairs. He then accosted her, dragged her downstairs, and sexually assaulted her."
The suspect used a box cutter to threaten her. After he fled, the victim "crawled up to her apartment" where one of her roommates called 911. She was taken to Bellevue for her injuries.

Early this morning, a woman was attacked in the courtyard of her apartment building on Prince Street at Sullivan. Police say the suspect may have followed her from the subway.

Sean Combs clocked a 31 year old clubgoer in SoHo on Sunday, right in the kisser...twice. Oh yes he Diddy! The rap mogul was at the after-hours club Kiosk (located at 95 Spring Street) when the rumble went down, and he's yet to turn himself in. amNewYork reports that "he was expected to appear at the First Precinct this morning for questioning."

Police would not identify the victim in the case but they said First Precinct officers responded to a 3:15 a.m. call for a fight at the club. They found a man, who was identified as Steven Acevedo, suffering from at least two wounds to his face, the result of two punches Combs allegedly landed.
Apparently the fight was over the woman who hung off Diddy's arm at Cannes this summer, also the former girlfriend of Acevedo - who claims at one point during the fight Sunday Diddy said he would kill him as his bodyguard showed he had a gun to do just that.

Uncivil Servants was only launched last week, but it's already a hotbed of discussion. The website asks people to submit photographs of vehicles that are parked illegally (many times on sidewalks or in front of hydrants), but one commenter, "bklyncop1," questioned showing so police vehicle information for criminals to see - check out this thread from Monday. Another commenter, musha, wrote:

As I said, the plates are not necessary for this site to accomplish its goals.

As the City Council continues to look at police-supplied data showing blacks are stopped 55% of the time during stop-and-frisk searches, the community has startled to rumble. The Reverend Al Sharpton said that he would start collecting names to file a class action lawsuit against the city. He asid, "It's an outrage. It's enough. No matter how productive you are, to be cast as a suspect rather than a citizen is intolerable in this country... One will have to explain how 55% of the people stopped are black when we're not nearly 50% of the population."

Not only did the police arrest DJ Star and charge him with aggravated harrassment and endangering the welfare of a minor, they managed to get him to Police Headquarters by asking him to surrender his 9mm handgun. And when he arrived - he was taken to the First Precinct to be arrested. Wow - that's a switcheroo, though it seemed sort of pre-ordained, given how much attention has been put on the former Power 105FM DJ after he threatened to molest the 4 year old child of another rival DJ. DJ Star told reporters, "You're looking at the new Lenny Bruce." He was released on $2,000 bail, and his lawyer Ben Brafman continued to claim it was simply a matter of radio station rivalries gone amok.
