How I Met Your Mother: Season Two More and more people seem to be jumping on the bandwagon to promote CBS's hilarious program How I Met Your Mother but as long as that network's popular sitcom Two and Half Men gets nearly double the viewers, it can't be reiterated enough. Maybe the release of the second season on DVD today will bring over more converts to the show's charming characters, witty dialog and creative storytelling......

It's inevitable in a summer season of blockbuster highs and lows that we'd have a weekend filled with new releases none of which look good enough to recommend. Glancing ahead to the rest of the month there's stuff like Ratatouille, Sicko, Evening, A Mighty Heart and Evan Almighty to look forward to seeing. But this week? Nada. Don't believe that could possibly be the case? Check out what other early reviews of this week's releases......

We saw Spider-man take over the city for a week, now get ready for The Silver Surfer to take over your change purse. A deal between 20th Century Fox and Franklin Mint has landed the Marvel superhero on the quarter. 40,000 of them, to be exact (no doubt fans will be trying to collect these now that they're in circulation). It was a week of insanity over at DCist. They started the week off with......

Gothamist decided to do a quick Q and A with Brian to find out what this comedy super star thinks of some of life's biggest issues, like religion,......

Gothamist was a bit underwhelmed by this year's Golden Globe nominees, and we were thinking of not liveblogging. But, gosh darn it as we watched the E! preshow and saw the starlets sparkle their way down the red carpet, we realize it was hopeless, so here we are. Let it be known that: - Keira Knightley looks gorgeous in her white Valentino - and there's something surprisingly youthful about the dress, even though there's that......

Daily News speaks with Peyton Reed, director of the upcoming Down With Love, a throwback to the "sex" comedies of the late 50s and early 60s, like Pillow Talk, Lover Come Back, and That Touch of Mink. Ewan MacGregor can be charming in his sleep and we certainly rather see more of him than less, but he's not so much the manly man Gothamist imagines from those comedies...Hugh Jackman, the best thing about the anemic......
