After receiving an anonymous 911 call, police found a 24-year-old—with a bullet in her head—outside her Brooklyn apartment building. Kazan Raoul was apparently shot in the head and arm in the basement of her Strauss Street apartment in Brownsville, but she managed to make it outside and collapse on the sidewalk. And the authorities say that an ex-boyfriend had recently violated a restraining order Raoul had against him.

Queens Woman Stabbed To Death, Police Searching For Ex-Boyfriend
A Far Rockaway woman was stabbed to death early this morning, and police are now hunting for the woman's ex-boyfriend. Police believe that Charlie Mitchell, 53, is responsible for killing the woman, who is described as in her 50s, as well as stabbing the woman's 15-year-old daughter in the face. And neighbors say the couple, who broke up about a month ago, had an abusive relationship in the past: "He beat her up about two or three months ago. Her whole eyes were all black, and she had to wear sunglasses. It's scary. I have a granddaughter," one neighbor told the News.

Conde Nast executive Jane Kaupp is suing her Midwestern ex-boyfriend over some "bunny-boiling" antics that she feels put her husband and kids in danger. Kaupp says she began a "personal relationship" with John Church of Indiana in 2008, but ended it two years later. Now, Church is accused of "threatening to expose" their relationship to Kaupp's husband and co-workers. The lawsuit took care of that for him.

More information about yesterday's bloody shooting on E. 91st. Street: The victim was a 21-year-old Duane Reade employee who was walking with a male friend when her ex jumped out at them. The berserk 24-year-old began pistol-whipping his onetime love in the face, a witness told the NY Post. "This guy comes out of nowhere with a pistol in his hand and starts beating her with it," he said. "The guy she was with got into a scuffle with this other man, trying to get the gun out of his hand. The gunman breaks away, gets a few feet away and then fires two shots...I don't see any blood at first, but her head started leaking and she started crying and screaming." The woman, who was hit in the arm and in the head, is still in stable condition. Both she and her ex-boyfriend live in the Bronx.

After serving tours in the Middle East, it was a Brooklyn backyard barbecue that proved deadly for Sergeant Kidson George. The 26-year-old man was gunned down on the porch of a Crown Heights home where he was celebrating the 4th of July with his girlfriend and others. George was shot twice in the chest by his girlfriend's former boyfriend, sending children screaming and dashing for cover.

The police are looking for a man suspected of stabbing two Key Food employees, one of whom died at a hospital two hours after the afternoon attack. Other employees at the East Village store say James Gonzalez, a part-time maintenance worker, stabbed ex-girlfriend Tina Negron with a 10-inch knife, because he was upset over their breakup.
