Cynthia Nixon to Wed in the City?

This past Sunday afternoon Sex and the City's Cynthia Nixon was one of many to speak at the marriage equality rally. In front of the large crowd that held the likes of Bloomberg and Patterson, she even got personal, taking a moment to announce her engagement to girlfriend Christine Marinoni. According to the Daily News, the 43-year-old "flashed the diamond engagement ring Marinoni gave her and said, 'It's time already.'" The actress also noted that "In an ideal world, we'd like to in New York, when it becomes legalized. We’re not going to wait forever, but we’re hoping it’s just around the corner...Sometime I think before the end of next summer, but we don’t have a date.”

Sorry Michael Phelps, Lindsay Lohan's just not that into you...but she is into her girlfriend Samantha Ronson! The NY Post is reporting (albeit via The Sun) that following the matching tattoos, the PDA and the dinner with Dina, the two have gotten engaged! Maybe. The paper reports, "just days after DJ Samantha Ronson announced at a gig that Lindsay would be her wife by the end of year," Lohan was spotted with a sparkling ring on a very important finger. While the giant, heart-shaped ring seems a more like a novelty piece, Ronson did declare: "By the end of this year, my love will be Mrs. Ronson!" Could a Ronson-Lohan baby be far off?

The New York Rangers Sean Avery was released from the hospital yesterday, just in time to attend the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala tonight! He'll be there as a guest of Vogue, where he is set to begin an editorial internship this week.

As if lighting up the Empire State Building wasn't enough, there's no harm in wearing a big fat engagement ring to up the publicity of your new album.
