When Gothamist first visited Tribeca's Devin Tavern, home of the rustic American fare offered by the purveyors of nearby steakhouse Dylan Prime, we left our dinner dreaming of a memorable corn souffle and pepper basil caipirinhas. Devin recently added Sunday brunch to their repetoire so Gothamist decided to drop by and see how the menu compared to the dinner cuisine.

Elegant, yet comfortable, intimate yet spacious, Devin Tavern, the recently opened Tribeca haven for fine-tuned rustic American fare arrives from the restaurateurs who brought us Dylan Prime. Inhabiting two spacious floors with separate rooms for private parties or business luncheons, an arched exposed brick wall dually divides the space and cultivates comfort. The smallest details--custom sconces, specially made rubber coasters, and large enveloping chairs--are invitations to stay a (long) while and enjoy a few of the house's specialty cocktails and extensive menu, prepared by 29-year old executive chef, Christopher Dunn.

Tribeca just doesn’t rest. Without even a brief reprieve from the Film Festival, this bustling neighborhood geared up this past Saturday for the Taste of Tribeca, a culinary street fair created to raise money to support P.S. 150 and P.S. 234. In its 12th year, this festival has gained popularity with over 70 top local restaurants showcasing a flavor of what they offer – Bouley, Megu and Nobu just to name drop a few.

Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha be damned. Just cause the foursome aren't continuing their escapades in New York's hottest bars and lounges, there is no reason for Gothamist to stop. We may find the Cosmo passé, but a well-heeled Negroni or Gimlet always coordinate with our Jimmy Choo's.
