While we are thoroughly on record as against people flying in their pajamas, we understand that sometimes when you're traveling, especially with lay-overs, connecting flights and such things, one can run out of proper, clean clothes rather quickly. But one entrepreneurial Queens man is going to remove any excuses (and stains) with his new operation: Elmhurst resident Taeyoung Kim opened the first dry cleaning service at JFK airport last week. Kim ran a two-chair shoe-shining business in Terminal 4 for the past seven years. He imagines that 80 percent of his business will come from airport workers, but he offers a three-hour express service for travelers in a rush. We can think of at least one person who must be super pumped.

Greenpoint: Even More Polluted Than You Thought!
Testing of Greenpoint's groundwater has revealed contamination by dry cleaning chemical, with alarmingly high levels found under the corner of Kingsland and Norman Avenues, right by McGolrick Park. Investigators started testing the area in 2008, and despite resistance from homeowners, they traced the pollutants and are naming names: They say former businesses in the area, including Spic and Span Cleaners, Klink Cosmo Cleaners, and current businesses ACME Metal Works and ACME Steel and Brass Foundry are to blame. But what's a Greenpointer to do?
Dry Cleaner Offers Free Dry Cleaning For Job Interviews
An Upper East Side dry cleaner features the following sign, "If you are unemployed and need an outfit clean for an interview, we will clean it for free." First Professional Cleaners' owner Carlos Vasquez tells WCBS 880 even though it's costing him money, "I had a customer bring cookies and they show a lot of appreciation and it makes me feel great." Aw! He acknowledges, "You might find one or two that might be lying but, you know, so be it," and anyway, so far, only a few customers have taken him up on the offer. His business is at 345 East 72nd Street—we hope folks who do get free dry cleaning from him pay it forward by taking their dry cleaning to him once they are employed!
