Liam Neeson isn't the only one who can take down the Albanian mafia: federal agents and the NYPD initiated a massive cross-state bust of an international drug smuggling ring run by the Albanian mafia earlier today. The DEA-initiated raid nabbed at least 27 of 37 alleged members all across New York, who smuggled everything from marijuana, to cocaine, to prescription pills and ecstasy.

Music Manager Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond Arrested On Drug Charges At Union Square W Hotel
Jimmy Rosemond, who manages hip hop artists The Game and Sean Kingston, was arrested at the Union Square W Hotel today on drug trafficking charges. The federal authorities had been conducting a "month-long manhunt" for him; according to the Post, "The hip-hop mogul spotted the agents at about noon as he walked out of the W Hotel in Union Square, sources said. Once on the street, Rosemond walked north and tried to outrun the agents until he was finally arrested on 21st Street and Park Avenue South."

When driving with drugs, don't overdo it with the air fresheners! That seems to be the moral of the story of ex-Sanitation worker John Mignano, who was caught allegedly transporting 8.8 pounds of cocaine, 50 pounds of marijuana, and nearly $21,000 in cash at a traffic stop in Kansas. Mignano would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for his penchent for air fresheners, the Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper who busted him recently recounted in Brooklyn federal court.

Build-a-Bear has made a name for itself over the last decade by letting passers-by take a bird's eye view of the their bears getting stuffed inside workshops around the country. But yesterday police caught up with a group of criminals in The Bronx who have been filling up the teddy bears with bags of heroin over the last year right under their unsuspecting neighbors' noses.
