A former butcher and Queens resident was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the choking death and dismemberment of his wife. Edwin Fuentes, 44, pleaded guilty last month to choking Reina De Los Santos to death in June 2007, and then chopping her up, putting her body parts into bags, and burying them in a wooded area of Forest Park near their Woodhaven home. “I’m hoping that, maybe, they cut you up like you did my sister...Your mother must be turning over knowing she carried a demon like you in her womb. If it was up to me, you would go to hell,” said the victim's sister, Marisol De Los Santos, before the plea-bargained sentencing.

NJ Residents Find Body Parts in Trash
The dismembered bodies of a man and a woman have been found in several trash bags along a residential street in New Jersey. A Linden resident called the Department of Public Works yesterday morning after finding garbage bags on the street that didn't belong there (she said, "I didn’t call until I started noticing the flies"). Sanitation employees opened the bags and found the bodies inside, separated between four laundry bags and two trash bags. Police told 1010WINS that the victims look to be between 30 and 35 years old and are possibly Hispanic.
Queens Man Arrested for Dismemberment Murder
A Middle Village man was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder Friday after confessing to the killings of Joseph Odierno and Jairo Santos in a drug deal gone wrong. The Daily News reports that police raided the Queens home of 28 year-old Darren Lynch to discover "handguns, rifles, an AK-47 machine gun, a bulletproof vest, cocaine, heroin and marijuana, and books about serial killers."
