[UPDATE] Did Sexy Diesel Models Taint The Transit Museum Too?

Over the weekend, Brooklyn Law School announced their outrage at Diesel, claiming the clothing company tricked them into shooting racy underwear ads in their library by telling them they were going to do a tasteful jeans shoot. But could the models' cheeky, umm, cheeks have warmed the seats of the trains on display at the New York City Transit Museum? A few of these shots look like they were done on antique subways, and there's one that looks as if it could have even been shot on a working train, which are normally free of such smut. more ›

Staffer Kept School In Dark Over Racy Photo Shoot

Staffer Kept School In Dark Over Racy Photo Shoot

Brooklyn Law School is now blaming their events director for letting a steamy Diesel photo shoot take place in their library, which almost nobody would have been able to identify had Brooklyn Law School kept their mouths shut. But Administrators say that events director Chris Gibbons presided over the photo shoot, saw what was going on and never told the school. A spokesperson told the Post, "The first time they became aware of the nature of the ads was on Thursday," eight months after the photo shoot. more ›

Models Too Sexy For Brooklyn Law School

Models Too Sexy For Brooklyn Law School

Brooklyn Law School is accusing Diesel clothing of duping them into using their library for a racy photo shoot. The school claims the company said they would use the library for a tasteful jeans ad, but soon found out the photos contained models in their underwear writhing on top of their desks with underwear reading, "Tonight, I am your student." "I thought the ad was disgusting," said Jordan Hersch, 22, a first-year student. "For a law institution to have people in their underwear where we study and work is unbecoming of a law institution." But for us to deny our readers the photo evidence would be even more unbecoming, so check 'em out above. more ›

Rumor Alert: Jay-Z Playing Webster Hall Tonight?

This weekend marks the 2nd annual All Points West festival, and Jay-Z (filling in for the Beastie Boys) is set to headline the first night at the Liberty State Park venue. What's the best way to warm up for a mostly indie crowd? Secretly join the lineup tonight for the pre-APW Diesel party going down at Webster Hall; the lineup features The Roots, Passion Pit and Drake. Blackbook says they have it on good authority this rumor's got legs, providing a detailed list as to why (Lykke Li fans, they also say she'll be stopping by)—#5 on that list claims, "an unnamed source close to the event says that Hov’s showing up to jam on a few songs at the end of The Roots’ set.“ Oh, and his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles, was already announced as a special guest. And a quick note for those heading to APW this weekend: the Observer talked to organizer Paul Tollet, who says the kinks should all be worked out this year—regarding the lines, he told them, “We felt there were a lot of things we didn’t like about last year. I walked around as a fan and stood in those lines, and when you go stand in that line, you get mad." more ›

Pothole Patches Poison, Green Group Warns

Pothole Patches Poison, Green Group Warns

The Green Energy Council is sounding the alarm on "cold patch," a blacktop material used to patch potholes, estimating that the stuff leaches 240,000 gallons of toxic fuel oil into the soil or gets washed off into the sewage system or evaporates into the air our children breath. The president of the group tells the Post, "You're talking about an extraordinary amount of diesel fuel." Cold patch has been used to fill potholes for years, but there have been no studies on the health impact of its toxic runoff. The city DOT has been a major cold patch consumer, but they recently agreed to buy 5,000 tons of a new type of environmentally friendly biodegradable type of cold patch called GreenPatch. Oddly, the Post insists the DOT "had no clue" GreenPatch was eco-friendy until their know-it-all egghead reporter told the agency. more ›
