Since the massive multi-player trade with the Denver Nuggets that brought Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to the Knicks, the team has gone 7-11, and this week fell below .500. Ever since they prematurely raised ticket prices for next season, the team has been an abysmal 1-7, and haven't played consistent defense in a single game. Hell, you know things are rough when LeBron James pities you. So what is going wrong, and can the downward spiral be stopped this season?

Knicks Get Carmelo Anthony (Bye, Galinari, Chandler, Felton)
Amare Stoudemire finally has a star to share Madison Square Garden with: After much speculation, he Knicks have agreed to send Danilo Galinari, Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Timofey Mozgov, their 2014 first round draft pick, and two second-round draft picks (one in 2012 and one in 2013) and $3 million to the Denver Nuggets for Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Renaldo Balkman, Shelden Williams and Anthony Carter. Plus the Knicks will send Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry and $3 million to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Corey Brewer. The Post reports, "An NBA source said Dolan was hell-bent on getting Anthony to keep him from Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov, who has become a rival. Denver preferred the Nets' draft-pick-laden trade offer until Mozgov was added."

- Knicks 89 Philadelphia 76ers 81: The Knicks enjoyed a team effort in defeating another struggling Eastern Conference team, the Sixers. Five players scored in the double digits, led by Jamal Crawford's 18 pounts and Zach Randolph's 16 points and 14 rebounds. Coach Isiah Thomas said, "We have good shot distribution, everyone feels part of the game, everyone gets to touch the basketball."

The Knicks dropped another game last night against the Denver Nuggets, 95-86, finishing their 6-game road trip and dropping their record to a grand 2-7. At least they get to return to Madison Square Garden tomorrow. Stephon Marbury, who has been asked to be more of a team player in Larry Brown's offense, struggled again, scoring only 9 points while contributing 9 assists. Starbury was pulled with 6:31 left in the game and the Knicks trailing by 13 points. To add inslult to injury, former Knick Marcus Camby scored 20 points and added 12 rebounds
