It's been over two months since the end of the trial of Steven Hayes, the ex-con who was sentenced to death for the killing of a Connecticut mother and her two daughters, but jurors are still traumatized by the horrific details of the case. The Times talked to several of the former jurors, and found that eight of the 12 say they are "in a strange sort of emotional netherworld" since the case ended. “During the trial, you think you are dealing with things, and you generally are. Yesterday, a jury sentenced Steven Hayes to death for his role in the brutal 2007 home invasion-turned-triple murder of a mother and two daughters in Cheshire, Connecticut. Jennifer Hawke-Petit was strangled to death while daughters Michaela, 11, and Hayley, 17, died when Hayes and partner in crime Joshua Komisarjevsky, burned down the home.
