Eddy Curry limped off the court and the season may have gone with him. At this point, we know very little about his injury other than the fact the medical staff called it “serious”. What we do know is that without Curry, the Knicks are headed into a tailspin. He was the focus of the offense and had even added some rebounding this year. Tests are expected back sometime today.

Defensively, it was another bad night for the club as the Islanders launched 38 shots and controlled play at both ends of the ice. Darius Kasparitis had only 10 minutes of ice time and looked lost. The Rangers literally couldn’t get out of their own way on Saturday. A collision in warm-ups injured Darius Kasparitis and forced New York to play the game with only five defensemen. Beating Detroit is hard enough at equal strength and the Red Wings bullied their way to a 4-3 victory.
