For well over two years now, Bronx gym teacher and coach Dan Smith has been sidelined in one of the Department of Education's infamous "rubber rooms," thanks to an allegation of sexual misconduct in March 2007. But while other teachers (over 600 hundred of them!) use their rubber room time to play Sudoku and nap, Smith has been hatching a plan to get out.

Ever since Giuliani time, we've seen fliers advertising guitar instructions from Dan Smith everywhere. Like many New Yorkers, we've often wondered, is this "Dan Smith Will Teach You Guitar" one man, or one thousand? Curiosity finally got the better of Websterism, who interviewed the man behind the fliers. He explains the secret to his success:

Last night we dropped by Evan Roth's Geek Graffiti class at Parsons for the final project presentations. The MFA students in the class had put together some amazing stuff. Our favorite project was was a reaction to the ubiquitous "Dan Smith Will Teach You Guitar" posters that you see all over the city. The artist got a copy of one of the posters, and remixed it to have Dan teaching a variety of interesting activities:
