Perhaps you've heard that this little summer movie starring a seldom written about actor is out this weekend: ie. with the utterly crazoid, yet infinitely fascinating Tom Cruise. He flies in helicopters! Rides fire engines! Attends screenings of his movie in Harlem! And, he wants your $10.75. Will you be powerless to resist? Here's a few other movie going options this weekend, if you've decided to boycott the work of Suri's papa.

Whether you are overdosing on matzos, chocolate bunnies or just the stunning spring weather, taking in a weekend movie can be a great break from it all. Okay, maybe you don't want a break from the 70 degree weather but still. A movie could be good too.

It's been a busy week out in Park City, Utah as the 2006 Sundance Film Festival draws to a close this weekend. Most New Yorkers are uninterested in the daily screenings and sales at Sundance unless you're in the "industry," but Gothamist finds the whole spectacle sort of fascinating because the festival is such a great prognosticator of what will be hot in indie cinema in the coming year.

We hate to admit it, but when we were younger we were very judgmental about comics as an art form. We mocked and ridiculed our friends who were into them. We used judging words like "star trek" and "virgin." We utterly refused even to pick up a comic to see what all the fuss was about. In short, we were very very stupid.
