Giants fans are turning out to be weirder than we ever could have imagined: some of them shave the Giants logo into their heads, some of them get tattoos of Eli Manning on their asses, and some of them worship garden gnomes. But then there are the fans like the ones in the video below, residents at Cedar Crest Retirement Community who want to show their support for the Giants the way they did back in the 1920s: by lip-syncing to rap songs and wearing backwards Giants caps.

Video: Girl Walk // All Day Inspires Nun To Dance By The River At Sunset
The Girl Walk // All Day project we premiered here has gone on to inspire even normally stationary New Yorkers to dance... and amongst them, a nun! Sister Silvia was at the NYC premiere of the dance-driven film in early December, to watch it in full (check her out in the front row). She later had dinner with protagonist Anne Marsen, who she told, “Anne that premiere inspired me so
I actually went out by the river the next day by myself
and danced as the sun set!” And here she is!:

This Sunday at 3 p.m., America's top dogs will lock tails on a mini gridiron for the 8th annual Puppy Bowl, a cute counterpoint to our far less adorable human Super Bowl. The big game, produced by The Discovery Channel's Animal Planet, is taped in October in a studio at Chelsea Piers. It takes two days of filming to come up with enough puppy footage to make for a compelling contest, and photographer Katie Sokoler went behind the scenes to show you how the snausages get made.
Give Someone A Jon Hamm Telegram For Valentine's Day This Year
It's nearly Valentine's Day, and nothing says romance like the adulterous Don Draper of Mad Men. Enter: Hamm-O-Gram! These people are offering to send you, or the one you love, a Hamm-centric love note for five bucks a pop. They say the Hamm-o-gram is "like a classic telegram, where you send a special someone a transcribed message, usually in letter form. Except this message is always a picture of handsome actor Jon Hamm (with a lil' somethin' extra)."

John Lennon Was A Crazy Cat Man
We know that John Lennon loved to make music and bake bread... but did you know he was also a crazy cat lady at heart? According to Mental Floss, Lennon owned a number of cats throughout his lifetime, starting with his first childhood pet, named Elvis. There is also an adorable story involving a stray he saved, and trips he would make to the local fishmonger to buy treats for it! When he became famous with The Beatles, he would still call in to check on the cat (which he had named Tim).

Is the city getting you down? Go no further than this video, showing a ukelele player spontaneously collaborating with a percussionist on the subway. The person who uploaded the footage says these two musicians never met each other before this moment (as noted by another person in the video). Try to push back that cynical side that tells you they're just scamming us for tips, and watch:

Video: Zooey Deschanel And Joseph Gordon-Levitt Want To Know What You're Doing New Year's Eve
At press time this video only has 304 views, so let's help out these young stars in their search for internet fame (crossing over from the mainstream isn't always easy!). Here are Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt singing "What Are You Doing New Years Eve?" (And before you ask, this is relevant because a new study just came out that proved it is scientifically impossible to harbor even one ounce of hatred towards either of these two.)
Videos: You Know You Want To Watch These Animals Opening Presents At The Zoo
It's the most wonderful time of the year... when we get to see animals opening up colorful Christmas presents at the city's zoo. Last year we saw a polar bear in Central Park open up a gift box containing fishsicles and fruit (what, no bloodsicle?), and this year the Wildlife Conservation Society offers up the below videos. They show Prospect Park's dwarf mongooses unwrapping gifts of mealworm treats, and bears in the Queens Zoo digging into their specially wrapped peanut butter!

Video: Michel Gondry's Sweet "Sweded" Take On Taxi Driver
Leave it to Michel Gondry to transform Martin Scorsese's gritty 1976 New York classic Taxi Driver into a charming, fantastical short film that's almost guaranteed to make you smile. Using the lo-fi "Sweding" technique he popularized in Be Kind Rewind, Gondry's version, created for the French premiere of Scorsese's Hugo, features colorful paint bullets, comically made-up pimps, and a truly fantastic baldcap-mohawk hairpiece. Gondry himself delivers the iconic "You talkin' to me?" line, though it's somehow less menacing coming from him than Robert DeNiro.

Best "Trend" Ever: Cat Agility Contests Sweep The Nation!
Today, the Times runs an absolutely incredible, no-this-is-not-a-joke "trend" piece about the "rise" in cat agility contests. It's worth reading in its entirety, for these quotes alone: “When we first started it, everybody said, ‘Train a cat? Impossible!’ ” and "I think we let cats’ brains rot, and I think it’s really sad."

Watch Jason Schwartzman's Zany Iron Chef Sendup On Sesame Street
When Jason Schwartzman isn't busy sneaking around Brooklyn for Bored To Death, he's nuts on Sesame Street, donning a silk kimono suit, satin gloves, and some seriously gravity-defying hair to play the Chairman "Superchef" of the Cast Iron Cook competition. He even gratuitously bites into a bell pepper! It's a thousand times better than the American remake of the Japanese original.

Video: Bronx Zoo's Adorable Baby Okapi, The Result Of Painstaking Matchmaking
Today, the Bronx Zoo heralded its baby okapi, which was born five months ago, after a long, painstaking animal husbandry process. Okapis, who make their home in Congo's rain forest, are "giraffid artiodactyl" mammals—a child described one as a "zebra horse" in the NY Times, due to their half-striped bodies but they are more closely related to giraffes—and they are very close to being endangered.
Video: It's Sunday, Is Your Dog In A Baby Bjorn?
With tens of thousands of people competing in the 42nd NYC Marathon, and tens of thousands of other people cheering them along and/or having fancy brunch parties in its honor, NYC feels kind of dead right now. Even the Post is having a hard time finding new ways to express their anti-OWS rage. So yes, people carrying their dogs in Baby Bjorns isn't exactly Woodward and Berstein material—these "pug pugjorns" have been making strange appearances around the web for awhile now. But perhaps Baby Bjorns are the perfect solution to avoid any more people assaulting bus drivers for not letting their Chihuahua's onboard.

If there is one thing that can bring people together, it is the power of the cute. Now, y'all ready to awwww?

Video: The Cutest Li'l 99% Occupies Wall Street Through Dance
Yesterday, between 15,000 and 20,000 people marched from Foley Square to Zuccotti Park as part of Occupy Wall Street's single largest rally since they took up residence in the park three weeks ago. OWS protesters were joined by unions and students for a march which was by turns peaceful and incredibly tense—that tension came to a boil when NYPD white shirts beat protesters trying to push past a barricade. But it really wasn't all pepper spray and Michael Moore speeches: there was also plenty of room for drum circles, chanting, and little kids dancing. Below, check out a video (skip to :54) of an adorable tyke doing his part to protest Wall Street greed—by harnessing the power of a carefully orchestrated (and dizzying!) dance.
