Dog is man's best friend, but is spending $60,000 in a custody fight over a dog too much—or too little? Craig Dershowitz is trying to get a puggle named Knuckles back from his ex-girlfriend, claiming that she kidnapped him when they broke up. Dershowitz has turned to a website to raise money for legal fees and says, "My ex has a wealthy family that is backing her. I do not. I am paying for this out of my own savings while also helping my mom through her medical issues. My ex is filing motion after frivolous motion just knowing that each time my lawyer responds it takes me one step closer to having nothing at all. It is a game I cannot win, but, with the justice system the way it is, it is a game I must play."

NJ Father Reunited With Son After 5-Year Brazilian Custody Fight
Yesterday, a New Jersey father received custody of his nine-year-old son, after a protracted custody fight with Brazilian authorities that eventually involved President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. David Goldman of Tinton Falls, NJ and son Sean arrived in Florida last night via a NBC News chartered plane; Goldman released a statement saying, "It is now time for our new beginning, the rebirth of our family at such a special time of the year."

After the October 2007 murder of her father and her mother's arrest for his killing this past February, the Daily News checks in on 5-year-old Michelle Malakov to see how she's doing. According to her paternal grandmother, the little girl calls her uncle "Daddy," "She can't be without him for a minute."
