Clearly, New York City's criminal masterminds are not reading Gothamist. Because just this weekend we warned them about skipping subway fares while packing heat and yet it happened again yesterday. On the same subway line, even. Not that we're complaining.

Video: The C Train Proves Itself As The Worst Train Ever
In the event that you don't actually, for some reason, believe that the C train is the worst train in the city, allow the magic of film to prove it to you. ABC just took a little ride on the oldest cars in the MTA's fleet—which "sound like [they're] in pain" when they pull up to a station—and decided to put their camera on the floor to see just how shaky a typical commute can be. Check it out:
Man Killed Under C Train at 155th Street
An unidentified man died after landing on the tracks underneath a southbound C train at the 155th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue subway station this afternoon shortly after 2:20 p.m. Right now it is unclear if the death was an accident or a suicide, the NYPD is still on the scene investigating.
We Get To Keep Our Vintage C Train Fleet For Six More Glorious Years!
The barely-ever-air-conditioned, creaking subway cars puttering through the tunnels on the A/C line are currently 47 years old, the oldest fleet in the system—and by the time they retire they'll be at least 53. The MTA has just announced that every day for the next six years on that line will be Nostalgia Train Day! Or, rather:
Let's C Which Subway Line Is Worst!
As much as we complain about the G train, we may not be giving the Upper West Side its due. According to the 13th annual Straphangers Campaign "State of the Subways" report, the C is the worst train in the city for the second year in the row. Though you're more likely to find a seat on the C during rush hour, it's dirty, performs next to worse on in-car announcements, and breaks down more often than the average line. Here are some other findings:
Apparent Suicide At 116th St B/C Station
Last night, a reader complained, "A/C/B/D all DOWN tonight because of 'suspicious activity' plus helicopters and NYPD emergency vehicles heading to the scene." It turns out there was an incident at the 116th Street B/C station in Manhattan—a person was struck by a train. NYC Transit Tweeted a little later on, "Update: police investigation @ 116th St cleared, customer deceased. Uptown A & D resume local service only. Expect delays. #ServAdv," and then, "Earlier incident @ 116th St which affected uptown A, B, C & D appears from accounts so far to have been a customer suicide."
C Train Delayed Due To Woman Giving Birth!
At around 930 a.m. Ben Sisario of the NY Times took to Twitter to alert fellow Brooklyn straphangers, "Manhattan-bound C delayed at Nostrand because someone is having a baby! Per station agent." It's just so much less frustrating when delays are caused by the miracle of life. The MTA confirms, noting on their site, "Due to someone requiring medical assistance at the Nostrand Avenue Station, Manhattan-bound trains are running on the express track between the Broadway Junction Station and the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street Station. Expect delays." UPDATE: Word is the mom went into labor on the train but gave birth in a hospital.
Report: 7 is the Money Train Once Again
Fresh off their annual Subway Shmutz Survey, the Straphangers Campaign is doing their best to be a buddy to local commuters with the release of "State of the Subways." (They sure do love those s's!) The group analyzes subway performances in a variety of different categories and then breaks them down by individual lines, something that the MTA refuses to do.
