One of the first Carnegie Hall shows we went to, years ago, was the Tibet House Benefit. The President of Tibet House is none other then Uma's dad, Robert A.F. Thurman. The annual show he has help put on is now in its 17th year, and this time around will take place on February 26th. The lineup has been confirmed (why the press release is giving Ben Harper top billing is beyond us) and some of the artists include: Laurie Anderson, Ray Davies, Philip Glass, Deborah Harry, Lou Reed, Sigur Ros (pictured), Patti Smith, Michael Stipe.

This summer Madonna is touring, again! And this past weekend, Brooklyn Vegan checked out how much Madonna tickets would run for her show at MSG in June (part of her Confessions tour). The result for two last row seats on the floor: $748.30! Man, we thought the Def Leppard/Journey tickets were a lot ($75-80/each).
Turn your heartlight on this summer, and enter Gothamist's new contest to win Neil Diamond concert tickets. The Brooklyn native is coming to NYC this summer on his world tour, and the countdown to the ticket sale is on. But Gothamist happens to have three pairs of tickets to give away!
Morrissey is playing a few sold-out shows this week at the Apollo Theatre. I snagged a couple of tickets on eBay for about $20 above the box office price and had them sent to my dad’s office because I don’t have a doorman to receive packages. One of my dad's associates signed for it, but when I went to pick up the tickets today, they had somehow disappeared. We looked high and low, but they could not be located, and because the show is tonight I’m going to have to miss it. Regardless of why the tickets disappeared (Does someone in the office secretly love Morrissey? Could lawyers really be this careless?), does the associate owe me for the tickets? After all, it was his signature on the package receipt.
