The fight between Douglas Kennedy and the maternity ward nurses at Northern Westchester Hospital continues, though without the apparent physical confrontation. Kennedy, the youngest son of Robert F. and Ethel Kennedy, claims that he had permission to take his two-day-old baby for a walk outside the hospital (the newborn was not yet discharged) but the nurses claim that no supervising nurse signed off on the jaunt. And now the hospital is supporting the nurses.

Update: Hundreds Protest BP on Houston Street
According to Code Pink organizer Dana Balicki, they're not going to stand for a corporation that values "profits over people." That's why, last night, about 200 protesters covered in "oil" or dressed like sea creatures descended upon the Houston Street BP station to rally against the company's handling of the Gulf oil spill, and to keep motorists from filling up. However, the gas station and the police were clearly notified of the "flash mob" beforehand, and had time to fence off and close most of the property.
Protesters Plan to Occupy BP Station on Houston Friday Night
If you're feeling a need to vent about this whole oil spill nightmare, there's some direct action protest planned for Friday night at the BP station on Houston Street between Broadway and Lafayette. According to this Facebook event, the progressive activist group Code Pink has a hand in organizing the demonstration, set for 6 p.m. "on the Friday before Memorial Day, as the good citizens of New York gather to gas up for a three day weekend, we will direct their business AWAY from BP." For you convenience, there are two protest options: night in the Tombs or night out of the Tombs:
