The man who calls himself Clark Rockefeller gave a jailhouse interview with the Today Show and did not admit to not being part of the famous clan, "I really couldn't tell you. Perhaps at some point we can do a DNA test and find out." But he does claim he grew up in NYC!

As the mysteries around Clark Rockefeller, the apparent con man who abducted his daughter during a social worker-supervised visit, are still being unraveled, here's an definitely bizarre addition: The German national actually used the Son of Sam's Social Security number to get his stock broker's license. The NY Post reports that Rockefeller, born Christian Gerhartsreiter, was fired from his firm when it learned he used David Berkowitz's SS#. A German man, a friend of Rockefeller's father, described Rockefeller as "crazy, always crazy He was like Batman before there was Batman, always going into different roles." Some classmates in Bavaria, Germany suspect he fled the country to avoid military service.

Finally! It looks like Clark Rockefeller, the mysterious con man who abducted his daughter (his wife had custody) and turned up in Baltimore a week later, is actually Christian Gerhartsreiter, a German national from Bavaria. When the Boston Herald handed Alexander Gerhartsreiter a photograph of Clark Rockefeller, he said, "It seems you found my brother." Gerhartsreiter said his brother admitted to changing his name to Christopher Chichester--who is wanted for questioning in the disappearance of a California couple. And Gerhartsreiter said, "As far as I remember, Christian was an open-minded and social person and he was able persuade people very well."

After Clark Rockefeller abducted his daughter in Boston and went on the lam--through NYC-- for days, only to be found in Baltimore a week later, the mystery about who Rockefeller really is continues to rivet people. While he falsely claimed to be part of the famous clan, now it's suggested he might be a German national named Christian Gerhart Reiter. Reiter had stayed with a Connecticut family an exchange student in the 1970s (the family said he acted oddly). Rockefeller, who has not provided any passports or other information about his past (and claims not to remember anything before 1993), is also being questioned about the deaths of California newlyweds. A man named Christopher Chicester--who looks like Rockefeller--had been staying with them.

More details have emerged on yesterday's arrest of Clark Rockefeller, whose wife divorced him after learning that his claimed membership in the Rockefeller dynasty was totally bogus. Rockefeller allegedly abducted his daughter last Sunday from a street in Boston; yesterday afternoon the FBI arrested him and took the daughter (pictured) into custody unharmed.

After a weeklong search, this afternoon the FBI found Clark Rockefeller and his kidnapped 7-year-old daughter, Reigh "Snooks" Boss in Baltimore. The NY Post did not have many details to offer up other than that Clark was taken into police custody and that Reigh is "safe and sound." In Boston, where the child was first abducted, officials said that they would hold a press conference later this evening.

Sandra Boss, the mother of missing 7-year-old Reigh Boss, made a police-filmed video statement, pleading with her ex-husband to return their daughter. The child was snatched by Clark Rockefeller during a social worker-supervised visit in Boston on Sunday, and the paid were driven to NYC's Grand Central. Boss said, "Clark, although many things have changed, you will always be Reigh's father and I will always be Reigh's mother. We both love her dearly and have only her best interests and well-being in our hearts." It's believed that Rockefeller, described as a con man who had exchanged hundreds of thousands in cash into gold, cut Reigh's hair short to make her pass for a boy; authorities are currently investigating sightings of the pair in the Caribbean.

As authorities continue to look for Clark Rockefeller and his 7-year-old daughter Reigh Boss, who he abducted during a social worker-supervised visit in Boston on Sunday, the woman who drove the pair from Boston to NYC said she had no idea she helped in the kidnapping. Aileen Ang was offered $500 to drive Rockefeller to NYC; she told a radio station, "I actually thought it was just going to be him. And when I got where I was going to pick him up ... his daughter was there." She said Reigh, who lives in London with her mother, seemed happy, saying, "I love you too much Daddy." But after dropping them off at Grand Central Terminal, Ang heard that the child was missing and went to the police. Authorities have been looking for the pair in NYC and Long Island (Rockefeller, described as a "con man" with four aliases, apparently bought a $300,000 yacht with gold bars), but a person said she saw them in Delaware.

The FBI, Coast Guard, and police from Boston and NYC continued to look for a 4-year-old girl and her father, after he abducted the child in Boston on Sunday. The authorities say Clark Rockefeller (not related to the well-known Rockefeller family) grabbed his daughter, Reigh, during a social worker-supervised visit and got into an SUV; the social worker held onto the vehicle and was dragged a distance. Then a female friend drove Rockefeller and Reigh to Grand Central Terminal; when she realized the child was missing, she went to a Queens station house and said Rockefeller mentioned heading to Bermuda. However, the Daily News reports "Rockefeller...may have given her wrong information expecting that she might later go to police." Rockefeller, who is described as a "con man" with "four aliases," has a yacht on Long Island.
