Yes, yes...Last week was Volume 18. We had some counting...issues. Apologies.

Above is a video explaining why this event is taking place, and inviting everyone to come out to Central Park today.

At noon today, Suzanne Vega and Lou Reed will play a free concert at the opening of 7 World Trade Center. As we all know, 7 WTC is the only tower to be rebuilt since 9/11; the plaza already opened this week.

Gothamist was supposed to spend the evening on a rooftop with friends and free drinks. Thank you rain for ruining the start to our weekend! We usually don't take a negative tone around here, but it needs to be said: Gothamist hates weather. It's also going to ruin at least one of the below events, see if you can pick which one. When you're done with that, grab your umbrella and rain boots and find fun indoors - after all the sun will come out tomorrow, or like, in August.

great, but want to check them out for ourselves, since we do like this video. Also check out the last sell outs post for more info on future shows we're not relisting here.

This is where Gothamist tells you what tickets to buy...because not every band gives it away for free on a flatbed truck (yes, we've somehow managed to make the free U2 show sound dirty.) So, before the tickets sell out and you are left bargaining on Craigslist, we are here to tell you what to buy...

This is where Gothamist tells you about all of the shows you should buy tickets for NOW because they will in fact sell out, and you will in fact be scanning Craigslist in hopes of finding a ticket for double the face value at the last minute. So pay attention and purchase wisely. This months list was particularly hard to compose because of the ratio of really good shows to the amount of money we have in our pocket.
