Knicks 106, 76ers 99: If there's one team that has the Knicks beat in the turmoil department, it's the 76ers. They've traded star guard Allen Iverson and are about to buy out Chris Webber's contract. A team with such distractions proved no match for the Knicks. Eddy Curry had 20, and Stephon Marbury scored 24. The Knicks welcomed back Nate Robinson from his 10-game suspension and Quentin Richardson from back spasms. They've won three straight.......

Yesterday, the police arrested four people while trying to locate the "fourth man" allegedly at the scene of a fatal police shooting. Marijuana and a loaded gun unconnected to the shooting were seized as well. The undercover officers involved in the confrontation outside a Queens strip club say a fourth man wearing a beige jacket was seen leaving or near a car carrying Sean Bell, Joseph Guzman, and Trent Benefield; the police had fired upon......

As some teams played to lose Tuesday, the Nets hardly played to win, though the game remained devoid of some star power. The Nets' Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson joined Sixers stars Allen Iverson and Chris Webber on the bench. Well, at least Kidd and Jefferson showed up; Webber and Iverson did not get to the game on time. Vince Carter also set the single-season mark for Nets scoring. Gothamist is anxious for the playoffs......

The Knicks keep finding new and more humiliating ways to lose. Tuesday night, it was an inbounds play that sunk them. Down by one with 2.2 seconds left in the game, Jalen Rose could not get the ball in play within five seconds and were whistled for a turnover that sealed their 85-82 loss. Rose actually could have been called for a technical foul, because he appeared to try and call a timeout, which the......

7 points in 22 seconds. That pretty much sums up the Nets' night in a 90-86 loss to the Pacers on Wednesday. 39 year-old Reggie Miller continued his 2nd half surge with 22 points and some heroic shots (including a 4-point play) to clinch a playoff spot for Indiana and push the Nets 1.5 games out of the Eastern Conference race with just 5 games to play. The Nets actually led by 11 at halftime......

The playoffs are beginning to look out of reach for this year's Knicks squad. A hugely improved 42-19 Seattle team bested NY at the Garden 90-80 to put them seven big games back of the Atlantic Division lead with just 21 left to play. The Celtics now look to be the heavy favorites for the division crown and the East's #3 seed. Sunday's score does not indicate the quality level of the NY/Seattle game, which......

"This one hurts." So said Herb Williams after Friday night's 116-115 loss to the Kings. On a night where the Knicks shot 61.5% from the field, out-rebounded the Kings by 10, and had Starbury score a season-high 37, the season-long habit of finding new and perplexing ways to lose continued unabated. For their part, Sacramento had a lot to be proud of. Chris Webber and Peja Stojakovic both missed the contest due to injuries, but......

The NBA Draft Lottery will be held tonight at 8 PM, just before tip off of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Orlando Magic have the best chance, at 25%, to win the overall top pick in this summer's draft due to their league worst 21 - 61 record. 1993 was the last time the Magic landed the top pick and they selected Chris Webber, who was later traded to the Golden State......
