Howard Stern married his longtime girlfriend, model Beth Ostrosky, at Le Cirque last night. The couple had been engaged for a year and a half, but details on the wedding were kept mum (even from guests) until the last minute. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, one of many big names in attendance. It also included a song from Billy Joel and a roast from Chevy Chase. The Post (who called it "A Big Baba 'I Do-Ey'") reports that the couple wrote their own vows. Stern's lawyer pal and frequent guest Dominic Barbara told the paper, "The vows were gentle and beautiful. They talked to each other's hearts."

In anticipation of tomorrow night's Law & Order episode about a the meltdown of a Mel Gibson-esque celebrity (Chevy Chase says sugartits!), we present you the video of chirpy Elisabeth Hasselback's complaint about a Law & Order SVU episode, via Best Week Ever. In the episode, a character named Elizabeth Hassenback was raped twice and murdered. So Elisabeth took time to call the executive producer of L&O SVU Neal Baer and relayed the conversation on The View. We liked this exchange:

And not only that, they're getting Chevy Chase to star as a star who is anti-Semitic AND has blood on his clothes. What Law & Order season this will be - Cobrasnake-lite, murder victim photographs posted online on Friday's episode - we suppose the sensationalism needs to be extra high now that they are on Friday nights. Producer Dick Wolf said that they are in production for an episode about "a former television star who is arrested for drunk driving," and NBC added, "while wearing blood-soaked clothes, and whose religious prejudice comes out after his arrest." Zap2It says the murder victim is a Jewish producer of the star's show (no word on whether the phrase "sugartits" will be used). Well, it is cool that they got a former television star to play a former television star. Maybe he'll be a former television star with a terrible talk show!
It's good to know that Federal baggage handlers are smart enough to keep stolen goods in their apartments. Don't they watch any TV? Fence, people, fence. Newsday reports that among the stolen items were "at least 20 laptops, digital cameras and a Vacheron Constantine watch valued at $25,000."
How to pack for a trip and how baggage handling works. Plus, there's been other thieving at the airport.
There's a video compilation of SNL's Clinton-Lewinsky scandal sketches, with Hammond as Clinton, Molly Shannon as Monica, Ana Gasteyer as Hillary, and in a brilliant stroke of casting, John Goodman as Linda Tripp. Other SNL takes on presidental types (and wannabes): Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford, Dana Carvey as George Bush, Darrell Hammond as Al Gore, Norm MacDonald as Bob Dole, and Dan Ackroyd as Nixon and Jimmy Carter, not to mention The X-Presidents. Also, there's the book Live From New York, the extremely comprehensive (just no Eddie Murphy) look at SNL.
- Fametracker's Fame Audit of William James Murray: We second their thought, "Anyone who will go into detail, on the record, about how much he loathes Chevy Chase is someone whose friend we would like to be."
