The New Museum wants us all to get lost. Well, not really, but they did recently ask 21 artists worldwide to get their image of New York down on paper for their exhibit, Get Lost.

We've already told you where to find your gefilte fish, so let's talk about some of the other Seder staples:

As a cabbie, I hear a lot of things. I hear people confess their deepest, darkest secrets. I occasionally overhear people talking about insider stock trading. And when there is an event that catches the public’s imagination or enters the city’s collective consciousness, I hear about it.

Now that New Year's is behind us, the next Hallmark holiday on the horizon is Valentine's Day. Thoughts turn to romance, champagne and chocolates. Well, romance is fine, but Gothamist thinks that the whole "champagne and chocolates" concept needs a little updating.

Temptations for culinary connoisseurs abound across the five boroughs, from Zabar's to Murray's Cheese Shop to the Sullivan Street Bakery. But, there is something to be said for the gourmand that wants to reflect their fashion sense along with their food sensibility. For this unique creature, for whom Cynthia Rowley is as important as Nebbiola d'Alba, Gothamist suggests a trip to one of the city's outposts of Fishs Eddy.

Although you wouldn't know it from the cover (a nod to the Republican invasion), this week's New Yorker is their food issue. It doesn't focus on New York's eateries specifically, but dabbles across the board: a study of ketchup and its lack of varieties, an analysis of cooking pasta and its history, and the infusion of salad greens in a country full of iceberg lettuce. Gabrielle Hamilton, chef and owner of Prune, is one of the contributors, speaking about the first time she was faced with the task of beheading the chicken that would later become her dinner. Also, don't miss the August 23rd issue of the New Yorker, which has a fantastic article on Murray's Cheese Shop. C'mon, you know you have a stack of them sitting around that you'll "catch up" on sometime . . .
