A 32-year-old woman is dead after a car driven by her boyfriend drove into a street median and hit a light pole and another car on Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park last night. And not only was the boyfriend charged with DWI, apparently the car belonged to the boyfriend's wife. The Daily News reports, "[Nyron] Isaac, an unemployed maintenance worker, was supposed to be home watching his 10-year-old son, according to his wife, Tennile Isaac, 29, who has been seeking a divorce. She had warned him not to drive the Cadillac, which she was transferring ownership of to him, because it was uninsured, she said."

Crew Uses Crowbars, Cadillac To Steal ATMS
According to the Post, there's a pretty serious pair of thieves out there preying on helpless ATMs: "The duo has escaped with thousands of dollars in cash during their three-month crime spree, in which they used crowbars and even a Cadillac to haul away the machines, police said.... They have struck only free-standing ATMs located outside businesses, often grocery stores." They hit locations in Soho, Midtown, Lower East Side, Village, and Tribeca. But this doesn't hold a candle to the guy who dumped four ATMs a Fresh Meadows Park lake (he also jumped into the East River to evade the cops).
Ex-NYPD Commish Won't Be Charged For Hitting Pregnant Lady With SUV
After former police commissioner Howard Safir backed his SUV into a pregnant lady on the Upper East Side, it was initially reported that he would not face charges. However, Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance's spokesperson said it would investigate the matter, because "traffic accidents involving pedestrians or cyclists are a serious concern in Manhattan." Well, now, nearly a month later, Vance's office is closing the book on the matter, telling the Times, "Our office conducted a further factual inquiry as we often do. We found no evidence of a crime, and the matter is closed."
