Around 2:15 a.m. morning, a truck hit a pedestrian overpass over the Bruckner Expressway and totally knocked the bridge out. WNBC reports that "the impact of the collision tore down the footbridge at Waterbury Avenue and flipped over the tractor-trailer. What remains of the footbridge will likely have to be torn down." The Bruckner, near exit 7B, had to be closed in both directions for hours; now the northbound lanes are reopened, but southbound are still closed for clean up. The truck driver had minor injuries and luckily no one else was injured.
