According to the Post, "insiders" are wondering why Mayor Bloomberg and former Florida governor Jeb Bush are so buddy-buddy. A "City Hall veteran" says, "There's something going on there. This is a lot more than, they're on the same side when it comes to education." Bush is one of dozens of names being mentioned as a 2012 or 2016 contender, prompting even more speculation (one Republican consultant: "I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it would be a hell of a ticket").
Bloomberg's "Bromance" With Jeb Bush
Bromance Alert: A-Rod and T-Brady
Is Alex Rodriguez Tom Brady's #2 fan (after Giselle Bundchen, of course)? The Post reports, from the Boston Herald, that there's a "budding bromance" afoot in the world of top athletes. Last week, A-Rod was hoping to have dinner with the injured Patriots quarterback last during the Yankees games versus Boston: "A-Rod was running around the clubhouse asking everyone, 'Are we gonna play? Are we rained out? Are we postponed?' Every few minutes he'd come around and ask his teammates - or anyone else who was around - the same thing." Well, who wouldn't be excited to have dinner with Tom Brady? He can sing and he can dance and he can even read your mind (reference). Unfortunately for A-Rod, the Yankees game was not rained out.
