Instant Entertainment: You Can Now Watch Breaking Bad Online
Dartmouth Grad Student Busted For Possible Meth Lab
It's yet another Ivy League drug case! Proving that the pressure to pay student loans has become absolutely unbearable, a Dartmouth graduate was charged with attempted manufacture of methamphetamine after police raided his apartment and found what they believe to be a meth lab. 28-year-old chemistry student (were you expecting medieval literature?) Randy Lambreghts was narced out by his roommate who "feared" for his "mental and physical health," the Daily News reports. Everybody knows that when there's a sock on the doorknob, that means "cooking crystal meth," and you must leave them be.
Bronx School Aide Arrested For Allegedly Outsourcing Drug Dealing To Teen
We've heard about "kool" teachers sharing pot with their students, and high teens pulling guns on school aides, but this is some perverted mash-up of those two stories that is truly a first: a Bronx school aide was arrested yesterday for allegedly threatening a student at knife-point if they didn't deal drugs for him. "Do you remember what I told you, if you don't do this for me I will kill you and hurt your siblings and mother," teacher's aide Anthony Davis allegedly said to the teen.
"Operation Lude Behavior" Uncovers Real-Life Breaking Bad
Twenty-two people were arrested Tuesday night as part of a massive $3.5 million quaaludes manufacturing and distributing ring, stretching from California to NYC. Twenty of those arrested as part of the three-year probe, dubbed "Operation Lude Behavior" (seriously), are expected to be arraigned today in Manhattan federal court. Among them are two current city public school teachers and a retired one.
Noteworthy Television Tonight: The Jews of New York
The Jews of New York (Sunday, 8:00 p.m., WLIW; Thursday, 9:00 p.m., Thirteen) Ed Koch, Russ & Daughters Appetizers, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the creative team behind Fiddler on the Roof are profiled in this one hour overview of the history and impact of the Jewish community in New York. The show has some great New York City history content, although it seemed like it should have been a bit longer so they could get a bit more in. Still it is an interesting look at the contributions of New York’s Jewish community through the years.
