DANCE: Since the Copacabana is closed for now, get your dance on under the night sky. WhatsUpNYC tells us that every Monday through July 23rd (though the NYC Parks site says through August 13th), the Parks and Rec department will conduct Dancing Under the Stars. Get dance lessons from the experts at American Ballroom Theater, then grab a partner and tear up the dancefloor.

Of all the actors with bands (Jared Leto, Adrian Grenier, Jason Schwartzman) we had our money on Ed Burns to be in a pretty rockin' one. He recently played The Delancey with his band The Blue Jackets, and you can watch one of their songs from that night right here:

The accident happened one day before Brittanie Cecil, 13, was struck during a Columbus Blue Jackets game. She died two days later from an internal injury caused by a deflected hockey puck that struck her in the head. Brittanie's family settled for $1.2 million and the NHL has since added netting to the area behind the goals.
