Last night, Coldplay revisited their cover of the Beastie Boys' "Fight For Your Right (To Party)" at the Hollywood Bowl—they did it at the 2009 All Points West festival, too, and apparently didn't learn their lesson—to pay tribute to Adam Yauch, the Beastie Boys founder, filmmaker, and humanitarian who died yesterday at age 47. But as we helped ourselves to someone else's expensive vodka while we waited for Deborah Harry to grace W.i.P.'s tiny stage, it dawned on us: if stealing top shelf liquor from friendly suits and dancing next to men in 3-foot wigs was in fact a scene, it was a cheerily comfortable one.

Here's a mashup of epic proportions: downtown New Wave favorites Blondie combined their beloved single "Rapture" with the Beastie Boy's "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" at a show last week, with excellent results. Note that Debbie Harry continues to kill it with her perfectly chiseled cheekbones and razor-sharp platinum bob, proof that some rock stars age like a fine wine.

We figured it out, this whole rapture thing is just a publicity stunt by Debbie Harry! Blondie has been Tweeting away with links to her own End of Days-esque videos; on the 19th she twote: "#zombie apocalypse: BLONDIE AND ZOMBIES!" with a link to her new video (which features zombies):
Was Blondie Almost Abducted By Bundy?
Today that old story of Debbie Harry nearly getting abducted by Ted Bundy is making the rounds again, with The Sun running a few quotes from the singer. Stereogum points to the Snopes page which retells the entire story, then picks it apart and declares it to be false. In a 1989 interview, Harry told a newspaper:
