Roy Hibbert didn't stay quiet for long. One day after contributing nothing to Georgetown's win over Villanova, the center helped out with 25 points as his Hoyas routed West Virginia in the first Big East Tournament semifinal. The Mountaineers' Joe Alexander finished with only 12. The defending champs have never lost a Big East Tournament game as the No. 1 seed. They'll put that streak on the line Saturday against Pittsburgh, which took out Marquette.......

Rangers 2 Islanders 1: Why did he do it? He had to know how important this game was and he had to know this wasn’t the time to take a penalty. So, why did Chris Simon decide to take a total cheap shot against Ryan Hollweg? Was it because Hollweg had checked him, cleanly we should note, into the boards? Was it because he has always been willing to mix it up in his career?......

Nets 101, Knicks 92: Vince Carter once again made the Nets happy they kept him around. He scored 40 points -- the second time in three games he's done that -- as New Jersey kept control over their cross-river rivals. Rangers 4 Carolina 1: They added Sean Avery just over a week ago and so far he has transformed the team. With Avery on board, the Rangers shuffled their lines, moving Nylander to the second and also reconfiguring the power play. Thursday it paid off again as the power play tallied three goals and the latest addition, Pascal Dupuis, scored a goal on a great hustle play. The win put New York only three points......

Nets 87 Hawks 85: Finally New Jersey didn’t blow the game. Yes, it was against the Hawks, but this was a big win. It took a Vince Carter layup and rebound to seal the deal, part of his 22-point effort. Jason Kidd had 9 assists, 9 points and 7 rebounds and the Nets “improved” to 23-27, still 3 ½ behind the Raptors. Islanders 2 Flyers 0: Philadelphia showed again why they are going nowhere this......

Gerry McNamara won a national title in his freshman year at Syracuse and he wasn’t going to miss the tournament in his senior year. McNamara hit a game tying three-pointer with 10 seconds left to force overtime in Syracuse’s 86-84 upset over UConn in the Big East Tournament. Syracuse will now face Georgetown in the semifinals tonight. The Hoyas outlasted Marquette 62-59 to advance. Pittsburgh and Villanova will meet in the other semifinal tonight after......

Ah, that time of year, where Cinderella isn't just a fairy tale, but something that several teams from all over the nation hope to be in the NCAA Men's Tournament. After an exciting week of conference tournaments, it's time to let the money flow in all those office pools [jpg brackets and .pdf brackets]. Does one go with a top seed like Illinois, or a sleeper pick. What top seed falls in the first two......
