It's been a little while since we heard from the Rat Man, but thanks to YouTube he's pretty easy to track down. A new video has popped up showing that recently he was subjected to... the kindness of strangers! These two people offer the man and his rat a temporary place to stay, but warn him that they have a cat. He still seems to be interested in the offer, however, noting that he has a cage. Think it worked out?

Video: Sad Rat Man Loves His Babies
Like every other hygienically-minded NYer, we've been fascinated by the elusive Sad Rat Man, whose job seems to consist of riding the subways and freaking out tourists. He may not be the rat enthusiast we want, but he's the guy-who-makes-out-with-rats we deserve. Some people ran into him in Times Square this week, and got a rare on-camera interview with him. Watch it below:
Video: Sad Rat Man Makes Out With Rat On Subway
Do you remember Big Balls? That's the rat in the above picture who we met last summer, after a reader sent us a photo of the owner stuffing him in his mouth. The tipster who took the photo told us, "The rat's name is Big Balls. The guy has it written on a piece of paper he shows tourists when they ask." Now, new footage of Sad Rat Man stuffing Big Balls in his mouth have emerged on NYC The Blog. In the first video, it appears he is only kissing/making out with Big Balls, since he doesn't stuff him in his mouth entirely. In the second video, he swills Big Balls in his mouth as if he were wine. Warning: NSFratphobics.
Rat Meets Man's Mouth On 6 Train
This rat is real. A reader sent in this photo from her commute home on the 6 train tonight, telling us: "A lot of people were moving to other cars. He was playing with it and as soon as I went to take a picture he put the rat in his mouth!" Is this man single-handedly responsible for controlling the underground ratdemic? And on a scale of "1" to "Unclean!"—how much worse is this to witness than someone digging into a bag of malodorous McDonald's on the subway? We apologize for any nightmares this image is going to give you—let's just pretend he went home and sang the below song to his special rodent friend.
