Redistribution of wealth doesn't get much faster than this—a man who had to leave his apartment because he couldn't pay rent allegedly stole a $400,000 Bentley Supersports Coupe after a parking attendant left the keys in the car. We blame the owner: if you're wealthy enough to buy a $400,000 car, aren't you wealthy enough to hire a manservant to babysit it too?

Espada and Son Plead Not Guilty, May Face Decades in Prison
Disgraced former State Senator Pedro Espada and his son Pedro G. Espada were released on $750,00 bail today after pleading not guilty to charges of embezzling more than half a million dollars from the Bronx nonprofit health care network they managed. According to a grand jury indictment returned yesterday, Espada used the non-profit Soundview, which the senator founded 30 years ago, to live a life of semi-luxury and finance his political campaigns. The Times reports that Espada allegedly used some of the money to pay for a lavish birthday party at his Mamaroneck home, replete with petting zoo, pony rides and a videographer. And you already knew about the $20,000 in sushi deliveries, but did you know about the Bentley?
Bentley, the Dog Who Could Drive a Car
Like a scene out of My Dog Skip, a boxer and Shar-Pei mutt on Long Island named, ahem, Bentley drove his owner's van into a coffee shop last night. When 60-year-old Bryan Maher went into Cool Beanz in St. James to sign up for a slot on their open mic night, he left the engine running in order to keep the pooch warm. Perhaps thinking the D was for "Doggie," Bentley then put the car into drive and crashed it into the coffee house, cracking its window and breaking some of the furniture out front.
Lil' Kim's Lil' Visit from the Repo Man
The repo man says business is booming in a Channel 11 news report about the rise and tide of auto repossession -- the segment even features a cameo by Lil' Kim! Seems the rapper fell behind on at least four payments and when she refused to give up the keys to the $250K car, it was loaded onto a flatbed truck. She gave the repo men (who say the car is "not hers") about the same respect she gave the reporters on her doorstep, who she told to "get the f--- outta here. You are so f---ing ridiculous."
