First of all, ready to feel old? Before Sunrise came out about 16 years ago. Exactly nine years after that, the follow-up Before Sunset was released, and now it's been almost nine more years since that happened. So naturally, the movie's star Ethan Hawke is thinking of revisiting the characters in a third movie. Fun fact: the actor was 25 in the first film, and would be around 43 when the next one comes out.

Before Sunset Laughs
Gothamist is looking forward to seeing Before Sunset, as Before Sunrise has grown on us like a mole since 1995, because it's all about the choices you did and didn't make. Here's the Before Sunset site from Warner Independent Pictures. The Village Voice's Dennis Lim has a nice feature about the film (calling it "stunning"). And Gothamist Arts & Events wonders about what happened after another seminal Hawke film and Chicagoist calls it one of best romantic films ever. Even J. Hoberman liked Before Sunset.
And All of Those French Films About Trains
This weekend Gothamist caught Before Sunrise on…ahem, the Lifetime Network.
Owen Wilson In The Smoker
The Smoker can also be found in Kissing in Manhattan, a collection of Schickler's stories. Here's what looks like Schickler's website for Kissing in Manhattan. And Gothamist is excited about Linklater's sequel to Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, which comes out on July 2.
Get Lost
Gothamist's pick for any kind of moviegoing this weekend is by far, Lost in Translation, the best movie we've seen in a very long time. We were struck by it when we first saw it, and may have to see it again soon as it opens today. It has a brilliant performance from Bill Murray, who is being talked up for an Oscar nod at the very least (let's hope, unlike when he was last mentioned in the same breath as Oscar during Rushmore, the Academy actually nominates him).
