But just 12 days after the payment was made, Hudson Valley restaurant/catering hall Monteverde at Oldstone Manor went bankrupt and, later, the wedding planner quit. Two men were shot and killed early Saturday morning at a gathering inside Platinum 181, a banquet hall in Brownsville. The Daily News reports that there was "heavy drinking" before the gunfire that came at just after 4 a.m. yesterday. One man died immediately after being shot in the head, a second 23-year-old man died later at Brookdale Hospital after being shot in the chest. Earlier Friday night, another shooting in Brownsville left three injured, but appears to be unrelated. A 15-year-old and 22-year-old man were in stable condition after being shot in the chest and a 26-year-old man is in critical condition at Brookdale after being shot in the head in the incident that took place around 10 pm. Few other details are available about either shooting.
