Blue Ivy Carter is just over a month old, and her parents—Beyoncé and Jay-Z—have finally released some photos... via a Tumblr called Hello Blue Ivy Carter (announced via Jay-Z's website). On the site they include a note that reads: "We welcome you to share our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives." He sent us this video of a kitten that had been under his care—watch Magellan the tabby play "surprise"!
Staten Island Dog Keeps Vigil, Onlookers Help
Here's a touching story from the Staten Island Advance: "Two brown-coated boxer dogs, alone on an isolated stretch of Richmond Terrace in Mariners Harbor, likely strayed into traffic. One animal was struck and killed; the other, loyal to its companion, defied vehicles to protect the body."
