Police are hunting for a serial rapist who is accused of raping two women and attempting to rape at least one other in Jamaica, Queens. This week, police released chilling surveillance video of the attempted rape, in which the suspect snuck up behind his victim, held a blade to her back, and dragged her into a nearby alley. The attack was thankfully disrupted before it went too far, but the victim spoke to the Post, describing the traumatic experience: “He looked right at me. In interviews with authorities the mother of the French woman who is accusing Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault has admitted that she had sex with Strauss-Kahn in 2000, saying he "took me with the vulgarity of a soldier." Anne Mansouret, mother to journalist Tristane Banon who is charging that Strauss-Kahn attempted to rape her in 2002, had a bureaucratic position with Strauss-Kahn at the time of their consensual sex. According to L'Express, Mansouret believes that "in DSK, the sexual need triggers a process of domination." These revelations may help explain why Banon's initial complaints about the incident were silenced 8 years ago, and why Strauss-Kahn was free to continue build upon his presidential aspirations. more ›

A housekeeping manager at the Essex House has confessed to the stabbing murder of Sara Bejjani after investigators say he attempted to rape the woman who had been residing inside the luxury hotel along Central Park South. 29-year-old Derrick Praileau had worked at the hotel since he was 17 and is described as being known for having a "flash temper." A Staten Island man may have prevented the rape of a local 15-year-old girl when he heard her screams from inside the woods near his home and immediately raced out wielding a baseball bat. The girl was walking to a friend's house on Cleveland Avenue in Great Kills Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. when she was dragged into the woods by her neck by a man described as a heavyset Hispanic male, about 5-foot-5 and about 200 pounds.
