A teen who brutally stabbed a 12-year-old boy has been given the maximum juvenile sentence for the attempted murder. Wayne Henderson, 17, was found guilty last month of the attempted murder, assault and disfigurement of Luis Martinez; Henderson and his girlfriend Carina Parache stabbed Martinez multiple times together and carved an "X" into his face two years ago. “This is the most vicious crime I’m seen in my 25 years on the bench,” said Judge James Griffin.

Police have charged Khemchan Sulaiman, 45, an MTA bus maintainer from Jamaica, Queens, with second-degree attempted murder for allegedly poisoning his two-year-old daughter before trying to take his own life. But before Sulaiman can be arraigned he has to recover from his own apparent attempted suicide. He and his daughter have been in critical (now stable) condition since they were discovered barely breathing in Sulaiman's car on Monday morning.

Ryan Devaney, 31, jumped in front of a G-train Monday morning after allegedly stabbing both of his parents—grinding the morning commute for many to a halt. He managed to survive the jump though and yesterday was charged with murdering his mother and attempting to murder his father. He won't be arraigned, however, until his condition has stabilized. His father, meanwhile, is expected to survive.

The boyfriend of the fashion designer who was found dead in a Meatpacking District hotel bathtub was charged with attempted murder yesterday. Nicholas Brooks, 24, was charged with strangled Sylvie Cachay, 33, but the medical examiner's initial autopsy results were inconclusive. WABC reports, "Police are treating the death as a homicide, but Brooks cannot be charged with murder until the medical examiner's office rules the death was a homicide." On Saturday afternoon, police responded to a call of an assault in progress, and found a woman attacking a 30-year-old man with a blunt object near the corner of Sheridan Ave. and E.169th St. The woman identified herself as Yesima Hernandez, but turned out to be Patty Carrion, one of America's Most Wanted fugitives, who has been on the lam for the past 15 years for attempted murder.

In an interview with the Post, José Rojas (a.k.a. "Osama bin Laden") claimed he had absolutely no clue why he pushed fashion merchandise creative director Ute Linhart into an oncoming R train on Wednesday night. NYPD Cop Accused of Hiring Hitman to Kill His Ex-Wife
An NYPD officer was in court yesterday, being charged with first-degree attempted murder for hiring a hitman to kill his ex-wife. Long Island native 42-year-old Anthony Battisti (pictured), a Queens cop who has been on the force for 17 years, is accused of paying his handyman $5,000 to kill his ex-wife Patricia. Timothy Gersbeck, the 37-year-old handyman from Levittown, was arrested in January for stabbing Patricia Battisti in the neck with a screwdriver multiple times, an attack outside the Battistis Franklin Square house that she survived. Prosecutors say that Anthony Battisti was jealous that his wife had begun dating a NYC firefighter.
