Ashley Dupre's new BFF and mentor may be Russell Simmons (hey, "don't call me a whore, you whores" rant and single were posted on Simmons' website), but Tommy Hilfiger totally outranks the Love Gov hooker in Simmons' book. Page Six reports, "After Hilfiger told [Rusell] Ashley Dupre was unwelcome at Tommy's Fashion Week party at the Jane Hotel, Simmons disinvited Eliot Spitzer's call girl"—the designer's rep explained, "Tommy didn't feel her presence would be appropriate."

Ashley Dupre, who recently called (some? most?) New York City women hypocrites for looking down on her prostituting past, has now been in the NY Post two days in a row. Yesterday, the Post looked at her road to realization—with a sexy fashion shoot, of course (photo slideshow below, which is set to her second single!)—with the former high-class escort offering this pitch line, "Everyone likes an underdog story, and everyone likes a comeback. I'm the poster child for redemption."
A few days ago, Ashley Dupre, forever in the history books as former Governor Spitzer's expensive escort Kristen, complained about (some) women criticizing her for being a prostitute and questioned their moral compasses, saying they "still dive into relationships with wealthy guys who they don't love or even find attractive, but they stay in it because they have a nice home, a car and spending money...I know many women who target guys with money and use them to get these things." Which has totally pissed off some New York ladies!
Ashley Dupre, aka Kristen the pricey escort that former Govenor Spitzer enjoyed, has a blog post on Global Grind about the neverending Hookergate controversy, which flared up this week with the Post's speculation that Spitzer would run for office again. Which prompts the aspiring singer to write, "I read the front page of the NY Post this week and was happy to see that Mr. Spitzer is moving on with his life and considering getting back into politics. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone deserves a second chance. Me too, right? Well, apparently not. Why? Because many people are liars and hypocrites. Let me give you just a few examples of what I keep encountering, despite my best efforts to move on."
Former governor Eliot Spitzer, who denies that he's running for office next year (not matter what the Post says or hopes), is starting a new career: As an educator. According to Politics on the Hudson, he's teaching "a three-hour law and public policy class once a week in the political-science department for the fall semester" at City College of New York. CCNY spokesman Ellis Simon said, "We’re delighted that Eliot Spitzer has become an adjunct member of our facility. His experience as attorney general and as governor of the state of New York gives him a unique and powerful perspective that can only benefit our students."
Even though it's officially September, it's still sort of like a slow summer news week—which is perhaps why the NY Post is suggesting on its front page that former governor Eliot Spitzer is considering a new statewide run! The headline is tabloid gold, of course. But is there any truth to the story?
To everyone's prurient delight, a lawyer for the woman who booked clients' "appointments" with ladies from the Emperors Club VIP prostitution ring says that former governor Eliot Spitzer was a regular customer. Marc Agniflio, who represents Temeka Lewis, told reporters that Spitzer's habit "was more than sporadic. It wasn't always more than once a month, but it was sometimes more than once a month."
Ashley Dupre offered up her "year after the Spitzer scandal" thoughts in a blog post for Global Grind, Russell Simmons' hip-hop news site. Dupre writes about moving on, "I am now 23 years old and I’ve made more mistakes than most people make in a lifetime. But to look back and see all that I have overcome, and to stand here, and actually still be here at all, that is a huge achievement. I am proud of myself for surviving," and how she's working on her spiritual side, "The more I know my true self, the more I come to have faith that my presence on earth means more or at least has different meaning than the media or disbelievers have tried to frame it to be." She and Simmons met at yoga class, and naturally, Simmons blogged about it, "While bent over in uttanasana, I noticed a cute, little, short girl whose hands were not placed properly," and when she introduced herself later, he thought, "Oh my god, this 5 foot, 1 inch god-seeker was the $4000 'escort' of Governor Elliot Spitzer."
Infamous Jersey girl-turned-Governor's hooker Ashley Dupre caused a stir when she was spotted at Yigal Azrouel's Fashion Week show last Friday. However, Azrouel wasn't happy and fired his PR firm, People's Revolution. The firm's head, Kelly Cutrone, told the Daily News, "I didn’t invite her, but I wasn’t going to kick her out or turn her away. We know one another, we’re friends... If Ashley had shown up at Marc Jacobs’ show, he would have been a hero. It would have been cutting-edge — but Yigal and she weren’t the best fit.” The Observer's Daily Transom caught up with Dupre and Cutrone at another fashion show—Cutrone said, "I’m happy that she came. I think she’s great"—and it turns out they met when Dupre was looking for representation, 'cause she's still planning on being a singer. As for more saucy Dupre details, she told the Post she really likes Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III, "I only want him to fly my plane."
Ever since it was revealed Eliot Spitzer was caught planning a rendez-vous with a hooker named Kristen, which eventually led to his resignation, there's been massive curiosity about Kristen--aka Ashley Alexandra Dupre. Last week, it was reported that Diane Sawyer would have the first interview with Dupre, for this Friday's 20/20. And now it seems that Dupre was also interviewed by People for this week's issue.
Former governor Eliot Spitzer has come back into the public eye with an editorial in the Washington Post called "How to Ground The Street". The WaPo subheadlines the editorial,"The Former 'Enforcer' On the Best Way to Keep Financial Markets in Check," but let's face it--most people know him as the 'Steamroller' or 'That Governor Who Had to Resign Because He Regularly Saw Prostitutes.'
Only six days are left until America gets its first TV interview with Ashley Dupre, the call girl who famously answered the call to Client #9. Next week's 20/20 will feature two segments dedicated to Diane Sawyer interviewing the woman who made headlines for her role in bringing down the short-lived governorship of Eliot Spitzer back in March. Sawyer has already taped the interview with Dupre and sources say that it is more focused on Sawyer's ongoing and extensive investigation of prostitution than it is in digging for salacious details of Hookergate. The "insider" told the Daily News, "People who think this is all about Eliot Spitzer are going to be disappointed. Diane has done extensive reporting on prostitution. This is another chapter in that reporting."
Natalie McLennan, the high-class escort once profiled in New York magazine as the "$2,000 an-Hour Woman," has a new book coming out about her escapades (The Price: My Rise and Fall As Natalia, New York's #1 Escort), and the Post has excerpts mentioning a notable figure: Ashley Dupre, also known as Kristen, the hooker that former Governor Eliot Spitzer had a fling with. McLennan and Dupre both worked for Jason "King of All Pimps" Itzler; McLennan recalled their work together, "Ashley and I were amazing together. She wasn't skinny at all, you'd never feel like you could break her, but she didn't have any fat on her body. The only thing I didn't love were her breasts. She had implants, and I didn't think they were the greatest. She told me she got them when she was 16."
You may be seeing Ashley Dupre in something besides a tabloid in the future. David Krieff, the reality show producer "who brought together Amy Fisher and the Buttafuocos for a TV special and did a similar pairing of rival ice queens Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding," tells the NY Post he's offered Dupre $2 million for an entertainment deal. Krieff would like an interview with the infamous escort, but he suggests that there could be a reality show which would include her "life as the stepdaughter of a wealthy oral surgeon." Dupre is also apparently interested in journalism, lounge singing and helping people; Krieff says, "She's very analytical...She sees herself as a kind of Dr. Phil."
The married NJ asphalt company executive admitted to the NY Post that he did have an extramarital tryst with Spitzer hooker Ashley Dupre earlier this week. Thomas "TJ" Earle said, via a lawyer, "I'm very ashamed."
Ashley Alexandra Dupre, aka expensive escort "Kristen" who romped with former Governor Spitzer, was spotted at the Gramercy Park Hotel on Tuesday by photographers hoping for a glimpse of Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson. Dupre was accompanied by Thomas "TJ" Earle, a NJ asphalt scion who lives 2 miles from Dupre in NJ...and who is very married. We guess she hasn't moved to LA yet.
You knew it would come to this: Spitzer paramour Ashley Dupré is trying to parlay her infamy into regular fame with a career in reality television. Her lawyer says the former escort has “prospects for many exciting new projects” and she's headed to Hollywood. Though “a rep” for Dupre (presumably one rep on a team of many) admits she doesn’t quite have a TV deal yet, E! News is reporting that a dating show may be in development: "They are talking to MTV about Ashley being the next Tila Tequila." Anyone else relieved to have absolutely no clue what that means?
Ashley Alexandra Dupre, also known as "Kristen," the high-class prostitute former governor Eliot Spitzer visited on Valentine's Day eve, strutted her considerable stuff at a New Jersey beach yesterday and there was a photographer on the scene to provide enough photos for the Daily News to give us this gallery.
Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis answered a $10 million lawsuit by releasing a video showing Ashley Dupre giving an assumed name AND claiming she was 18. Dupré, the hooker made notorious because of her connection with former Governor Spitzer, had sued GGW for the millions, claiming she was underage in a video the company released shortly after the Spitzer scandal broke.
Sure, politicians, pundits, psychiatrists, and anyone else who can string together two words have weighed in on Eliot Spitzer's disgrace. But it's just cuter when a little princess explains it all.
the video was shot. Lawyer Don Buchwald wrote in an e-mail Dupre was kicked off the GGW bus "because she was underage...It would be outrageous at the very least to play the video of an underage female on the Internet."
Leave it to Joe Francis to make sure Hookergate stays dirty! The Girls Gone Wild founder told the Daily News, "We have some really great footage of Ashley. She was really into girl-on-girl action."
Television coverage of Governor Spitzer's scandal has been relentless. From extra newscasts from most of the stations and WNET/ Thirteen's special Monday night report (the only one that seemed to gauge statewide reaction) to leading all the local newscasts, but the networks, local stations throughout the country and even the BBC World News.
While call girl "Kristen" is getting a lot of attention, the thoughts and feelings of Governor Spitzer's wife Silda Wall Spitzer are still the object of much curiosity. The Post spoke to a friend of hers who said Wall Spitzer is most upset about Ashley Alexandra Dupre's age (22).
Likely many a person coming to New York City with a dream, Ashley Alexandra Dupre, also known as Governor Spitzer's February 13 call girl "Kristen," wanted to be famous. But did she want to be infamous enough to be on the cover of the NY Post as a "BAD GIRL"? And how bad can she be, if she has a tattoo of a cross on her right hand? In addition to the photo on the cover of The Post, they have several more photos of the girl who brought Spitzer down.
